Bill Davidson

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Davidson who was a great supporter of the Royston Community Association and the Chairman for many years.  At every opportunity he promoted Coombes Coombes Centre as an asset for Royston.

Bill was widely known within Royston as he was also a North Hertfordshire District Councillor and always had Royston’s best interests in mind.

After his retirement from being Chairman of the RCA in January 2021 he and his wife Lyndsey moved to Royal Leamington Spa to be closer to their family where he lived till he passed peacefully in hospital, on 4th December 2021. Our thoughts are with Lyndsey and his family and friends.

Bob Smith, the current Chairman of the RCA, remembers Bill for his numerous ways in promoting the Coombes Community Centre, in particular the setting up of a youths’ boxing club in the sports hall and his involvement as a liaison officer with the local Police Station.  Bob and the RCA Trustees send their sincere condolences to Lindsey and family.
