It is a powerful practice and each class consists of simple repetitive yoga postures, meditation, breath techniques (pranayama) and mantra (chants) with beautiful Kundalini music.

It is an ancient practice from India, traditionally taught in secret from Master to student. In 1969 it was brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan and opened up to all.

It works by strengthening the nervous system, helping to balance the glandular system, and promoting the energy and blood circulation in the body.

With regular practice it can create feelings of enhanced clarity in the mind, vitality in the body and a joyful elevation of the spirit as well as helping to release emotional tension and stress. We can transform our health, opening up to our creative potential, and intuition.

Classes are open to all.

Each week after tuning in and a warm up there is a different sequence of postures ‘kriyas’ targeting the body, mind and spirit. For example some sets work on the lungs the spine, glandular system, mental psyche, heart, or the magnetic field etc.

There are also many wonderful meditations and mantras with this yoga, which work with the sound current. We finish the class with a deep relaxation.
